Galaxy Tab S10 Series Reportedly Delayed to 2025

Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup has some of the best hardware in the world of premium tablets. They are the company’s answer to the iPad’s global dominance in the tablet segment.

Usually, Samsung has an annual release schedule for the flagship Galaxy Tab S series, with the latest addition being the Tab S9 series, which was introduced in August 2023.

Naturally, we expect the next generation of the Tab S10 series to launch at the upcoming Unpacked event in July 2024. However, potential buyers eagerly waiting for the Tab S10 series will be disappointed.

According to a reliable source (via @kro_roe on X/Twitter), it seems that the Tab S10 series has now been delayed. It is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025 instead of the July’24 Unpacked event.

Tab S10 Series Reportedly Delayed

We do not get any firm specifics as to why it has been delayed, but our source replied with some interesting information that could be responsible for it.

It could be due to the chipset choices. Last week, Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus platforms for Windows laptops and other portable devices (apart from smartphones), like tablets.

It seems that Samsung was initially planning to use the Snapdragon X Elite for the Tab S10 Ultra, and this move makes a lot of sense since the performance would compete with the Apple M series chips used on the iPad Air and iPad Pro.

However, there seem to have been some internal changes, which saw Samsung dropping the X Elite for the Tab S10 Ultra and going for the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 instead. Fortunately, the device seems close to the final design, with software development already underway.

This means that the tablet generation’s development (including the base S10 and mid-tier S10+) possibly faced significant delays, which could account for the early 2025 release of the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
