Every year, Samsung introduces new colors for the S series flagships. We used to get a new design language every year as well, but Samsung is now sticking to its design identity. According to the renders, the S24 UItra will have five individual camera rings at the left- and it’ll look really similar to the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra.
The entire series comes with the exact same colors, except for some special editions, if there are any. The S23 Ultra came with Green, Phantom Black, Lavender, Green, Lime, Sky Blue, Grahpite, and Red. Graphite and Lime are online exclusive on Samsung’s official website. The Sky Blue and Red colors are only for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The base S23 and S23 Plus get all the colors except these two.
The S22 Ultra had great colors, too- we had Phantom White, Phantom Black, Burgundy, and a very bold shade of dark Green. Graphite, Red, and Sky Blue were online exclusive colors for the S22 Ultra. Graphite and Pink replace Burgundy for the S22 and S22 Plus as the official colors. Cream, Sky Blue, and Violet were online exclusive for the S22 and S22 Plus.
Leaked colors for the S24 Ultra
There’s a very clear pattern to observe. There are always some standard colors and some online exclusive colors. According to a reliable leaker, Ross Young on X, the S24 Ultra will ship with Black, Gray, Violet, and Yellow as the official color options. For the online exclusive colors, the S24 Ultra will probably get Orange, Light Blue, and Light Green.
Since Samsung is using a Titanium frame on the S24 Ultra, they could also call it Titanium Gray. It’s probably similar to Apple’s Natural Titanium color. Samsung generally markets Black and Gray as Phantom Black and Graphite.
The other two colors- Violet and Yellow, we’ve seen them with phones like the S21 and S10e. Even the Galaxy S9 had a Lilac Purple color, and the Violet color for the S24 Ultra could resemble any of these colors. Samsung might have other online-exclusive colors that we don’t yet know of.
Conclusion
In other specs, the S24 Ultra will ship a QHD+ AMOLED 120Hz panel, a quad camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, a new 50MP 5X periscope, a 3X zoom lens, and an ultrawide. It’ll come with the 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip, which will feature a slight overclock to the CPU for a higher theoretical peak performance. The phone will also have a Titanium frame. The design doesn’t appear to have many upgrades.
We expect the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series at a Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2024.
