Samsung is introducing its foundry Chip Exynos in every possible way. Over the past few years, its foundry chip has seen a lot of improvement. As a result, the Exynos chipset performing close enough to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon. According to a recent report viaย tipster @PandaFlashpro, Exynos 2500 outperforms Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 easily in Graphics & General Processing.
Although it is not a powerful tip, since there is no concrete evidence, the tipster did not mention any efficiency-related hints in the tweet. No tip regarding AI processing power, too. But one thing is certain: Samsung is cooking something special for its S25 series.
Earlier, it was rumored that Exynos 2500 could possibly be fabricated with 3nm GAA technology,ย which probably competes neck to neck with Gen 3. Therefore, the recent rumors could hint at some breakthrough with 2500. Since S24 focused on AI, its later variant, S25, possibly has more AI-oriented processing features. For which the foundry chip needs to perform better in terms of NPU. Till then, the recent tip can be entertained as an assumption!
Counting some of the few recent tips, like the developmental hint of including LPDDR6 RAM in Galaxy S25, will elevate the performance to beat its rivals. This again shows a positive sign that the recent tip is true. Overall, it’s uncertain how to predict the outcome for now.
In the recent launch in 2024, Galaxy S24’s base variant and “plus” variant used the Exynos setup. At the same time, its ultra variant has both Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400, depending on the market. It cannot be unseen completely in the recent rumors of Exynos 2400 to replace the SD 8 Gen 3 in the upcoming Z Flip 6. Previously, we also discussed the possibility of the Samsung Galaxy S25 approached for two chipsets, Exynos 2500 & Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
This summarizes one conclusion: Samsung is aggressively testing its Exynos SoC to implement on its devices. And, of course, for that, they have to beat the Qualcomm Snapdragon!
