Galaxy AI is the highlighted feature of Samsung’s latest UI skin, One UI 6.1. Since the AI feature was included in their latest skin for Galaxy S24, other Galaxy users eagerly awaited to try this exclusive on their devices. Last week, we had the news on a few devices like Galaxy S23 Series, S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Tab S9 to Get One UI 6.1 in March 2024. What about the Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Flip 4 user?
In their recent report, Samsung has confirmed the rollout for the device mentioned above. It is confirmed from the report that Samsung is not going to limit Galaxy AI features to only the S24 series. Here, read in between the lines of the quotes mentioned below by TM Roh-
“Our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pioneer a new era of mobile AI but also to empower users by making AI more accessible,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “This is only the beginning of Galaxy AI, as we plan to bring the experience to over 100 million Galaxy users within 2024 and continue to innovate ways to harness the unlimited possibilities of mobile AI.”
Estimate Time frame:
The above quote indicates that many more eligible Galaxy devices are getting the most AI features. The older devices receiving One UI 6.1 can enjoy photo editing and summarizing features. Other prominent features in the latest skin include circle search, generative AI wallpaper, instant slow mode, etc. But how many of these can make it to the end is a big question mark.
Although 4th generation Z Foldables are eligible devices to get the One UI 6.1, the question is when. So far, there is no confirmation from Samsung, but tipsters always have an early guess, and in time, most of their guesses become a reality. Tarun Vats is one of the tech enthusiasts who share tweets on Samsung One UI updates from time to time.
In one of his recent tweets, he mentioned the estimated time frame of Z Fold 4/ Flip 4 One UI 6.1 in reply to a follower. In his reply, he mentioned “April” (check the screenshot below), which could probably mean the timeline of the 4th Gen foldable to receive One UI 6.1.
This suggests that Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 users might get One UI 6.1 in April 2024. Hopefully, you will enjoy the Galaxy AI feature for a couple of months before Samsung decides to charge to use the feature.
