Galaxy Z Flip 6 marketing color names and storage details revealed

Samsung is expected to unveil its newest foldables in the upcoming Unpacked event, rumored to happen in July 2024. The event is expected to bring us the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Fold 6 Ultra, and Z Flip 6, and new details have emerged for the upcoming clamshell foldable.

According to the reliable leaker Ross Young (via @DSCCRoss on X/Twitter), Samsung is planning a range of colors for the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

As per the source, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to be offered in as many as seven colors, which include the following: Light Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, Yellow, Crafted Black, Peach and White.

There are two things to note about the colors:

  • A few of the colors have been renamed. The Light Green is now called “Mint,” and the Silver color is now called “Silver Shadow.” These could very well be the final marketing names for these color options.
  • The Crafted Black, Peach, and White are the “low volume colors,” they will be made in limited units, most likely exclusive to Samsung’s online store.

Furthermore, the same source in another post (via @DSCCRoss on X/Twitter) reveals the storage options for the Z Flip 6.

storage options

The new clamshell is expected to ship with the same storage options as its predecessor, a 256 GB base variant and the highest-end 512 GB variant. This storage is expected to be the same UFS 4.0 type as on the Z Flip 5.

Hence, it is pretty clear that outside of the shakeup with the new colors, the Z Flip 6 is expected to be a decent upgrade with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, a bigger 4000 mAh battery, an upgraded 90 Hz cover display, and a rumored new 50 MP primary rear camera.

Sadly, despite all these improvements, the Z Flip 6 is still expected to have the same slow 25W charging and meager 8 GB RAM on the base variant, although it is possible that it could have a higher-tier 12 GB RAM option.
