Samsung sticks to its commitment again, releasing the March 2024 Security Update timely for most eligible devices. Starting with the Galaxy S24 series, the company has begun its rolled-out process for security updates. Eventually, all the devices listed in the Samsung Security Bulletin will receive the update by the end of March. Previously, we mentioned that Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy A71, and A02 will no longer receive software support.

The company provides fixes and patches for its vulnerabilities, including Google’s Android Security patches. The vulnerabilities are categorized into Critical, High & moderate based on the threat level. In the current March 2024 update, the company has addressed two critical and seven moderate-level vulnerabilities.

Samsung does not just release a product and forget about it. The company provides updates on a monthly, quarterly, or bi-annual basis. It’s all possible after the commitment made back in 2020 to provide three years of support for its device. From time to time, policies are changed to compete with their rivals. It’s worth knowing that Samsung will support four years of OS and five years of security updates for the listed devices starting in 2022. In January, it was rumored that Samsung might bring seven years of major OS and security updates.

Its bulletin covers all eligible devices for updates in the scope section. However, the specific timeframe of the update depends on region and device models, which is unpredictable!
