Rumors about the Galaxy S24 FE have been circulating for some time. Now, the existence of an affordable member of the Galaxy S24 family has been confirmed.
We have spotted the model number SM-S721U with the Galaxy S24 FE moniker in the UK carrier EE’s database. This is the first concrete sign that the phone is actually in development.
Samsung uses the last letter in their smartphone model numbers to designate the target market. So, based on last year’s S23 FE model numbers, we can expect the following model numbers for the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE smartphone in different regions:
- SM-S721B: Global
- SM-S721U: United States
- SM-S721W: Canada
- SM-S721N: South Korea
Some reports suggested a summer release for the S24 FE. However, GalaxyClub NL now claims a late 2024 launch is more likely. The codename is R12 for the Galaxy S24 FE.
It is expected the S24 FE might see a limited release in select markets by the end of 2024, with a wider global launch in early 2025.
Rumored specs of the S24 FE include a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options of 256GB (UFS 4.0) and 128GB (UFS 3.1), alongside a 4500mAh battery.
