About Verizon & T-Mobile Software Update
Unlocked Samsung phones (bought directly from Samsung or retail stores) usually get updates directly from Samsung without carrier interference, which means they may receive new software versions more quickly than carrier-branded devices.
Both Verizon and T-Mobile have their own testing process before releasing updates, which could include compatibility checks with their networkโso that it won’t create issues with carrier-specific apps, features, etc. Therefore, even though Samsung releases One UI 7 for unlocked devices, carriers may take longer to release it for their branded devices.
To stay updated on the latest software updates for Verizon and T-Mobile, you can visit their software updates page. Another way to check is by heading over to the Settingsย >ย Software Update section on your device, which lets you check manually.
