Samsung isn’t just about the higher-end flagships since it also makes a lot of budget and midrange phones.
Their best-selling phones are a part of the Galaxy A series, which aims to deliver well-balanced budget and midrange phones for their prices.
Undoubtedly, the most important lineup in the Galaxy A series is the Galaxy A5x and the Galaxy A52s 5G from 2021 was one of the most popular Samsung phones in this lineup.
However, Galaxy A52s 5G users have recently been allegedly facing a major issue with the calling application. They reported that the screen of their phones turned white when receiving incoming phone calls. This is a major bug that affects the basic functionality of the phone.
Fortunately, Samsung has recognized this issue due to an incompatibility with the phone’s calling application and has promised that a software fix is on the way.
In the meantime, a moderator on Samsung Community has offered a temporary solution, which involves force-stopping the buggy call app as follows:
- On your phone, enter the Settings.
- Select the “Applications” menu.
- Enable “Show system settings.”
- Find the “Call” app
- Open the app details, and tap “Force Stop.”
It is noted that this is a temporary fix, and the issue could recur after a while. This means users might have to keep force-stopping the app at times. Samsung has promised that a software update to patch this issue will come soon.
To recall, the Galaxy A52s 5G was announced in September 2021. It is one of the rare Samsung midrange phones that launched with a Snapdragon chipset (the 778G). It had a 4500 mAh battery with 25W wired charging, a quad rear camera setup headlined by a 64 MP primary rear snapper, and a 32 MP selfie camera.
The One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A52s is also in development and is expected to be released soon.
