Samsung tri-fold phone will be named Galaxy G Fold, featuring a 10-Inch Display

A couple of days back in the January event, the tri-fold phone was teased officially by Samsung. From the earlier leaks, we know very little about the device design language.

But there is a fresh leak revealing multiple details of the double-fold device, mostly the change in name and its display size, along with the hint of its released window.

The new leak came from the Korean blog Naver, posted byย yeux1122’s blog. The tipster claims the source of information is from the company and the display analyst, Ross Young. According to the leak, the tri-fold device will be named the Galaxy G Fold, different from the conventional Z fold.

Another piece of information shared in the blog suggests the exact display size of the G-fold will be 9.96 inches and the height about 6.54 inches. This is approximately 10 inches in display size when unfolded. The display and film material will be different from what we have seen in its predecessor.

Apart from that, the leaker also mentioned the weight of the device would be similar to “H,” which probably means the Huawei Mate XT. However, in terms of thickness, it will be slightly thicker than Huawei.

Additionally, the leak also confirmed the new inward design change in the Samsung tri-fold device, which was rumored to fold twice in the inward direction. Moreover, it also explains why a new film technique needed to be developed by the company.

Previously, the triple fold was expected to come along with the traditional Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in 2025. However, the recent leak suggests a similar timeframe for the Galaxy G Fold that wasย rumoured last year; however, it may be available for purchase in early 2026.
