Samsung Rolls Out Find 1.4 Update for More Accurate Device Tracking

Samsung has updated the Samsung Find app to version 1.4. Finding lost devices is now easier, faster, and smoother. If you’ve ever lost your phone or misplaced something with a Samsung SmartTag attached, you’ll notice it’s now quicker and more accurate to find.

The big thing in this update? Better location search. Now, you’ll get faster results when searching for lost devices or items. It’s more precise too so it’s easier to find exactly where things are. Lost your phone, tablet, or even a tagged item? Samsung Find has got you covered!

Samsung also fixed some bugs that made the app a bit wonky. With these changes, the app runs smoother and is more reliable for daily use.

To get this update, just open the Galaxy Store app, go to the Menu, and tap on Updates. You can also find it on a few other app download sites, but the Galaxy Store is the easiest way.

What’s New in Samsung Find 1.4?

With Samsung Find, you can find your own devices and also help find a family member’s lost device. The new update adds a way to share locations with family or friends right in the app. You can check in on where everyone is or share your location for a set amount of time, like an hour or a day. Just turn on “Share My Location,” and you’re done.

There’s a “People” tab to share and see each other’s locations and a “Devices” tab to locate any Galaxy device, like a phone, watch, tablet, or Galaxy Buds. Lost something? Open the app, see where your device is on a map, and even use a navigation tool to get to it. Some devices also have a “Make Sound” feature, so if they’re close by, you can have the device make a sound to help you find it.

If you have Samsung’s SmartTags attached to personal items like keys, a pet’s collar, or even a bike—you’ll find all of them in the new “Items” tab. SmartTags will show you where these items are on the map, and if your tag is out of Bluetooth range, the app will use a feature called “Offline Finding” to locate it. Other Samsung devices nearby will detect your SmartTag and let you know where your item is.
