Samsung May Have Solved Tri-Fold Screen Drop Impact

Diversifying the foldable genre, Samsung is likely to bring its Tri-fold next year in 2025. A recent Korean report suggests the company is working on its new form factor, “Double folding,” and by the end of the month, it will finalize the release model & design.

Unfortunately, the company fell behind in clinching the title to be the first True Z Fold in the market. That’s not the exclusive news we are here to discuss. You might have heard about the Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold earlier. The latest news is about how the company had figured out how to protect its flexible folding screen from any drop hazard. Keep Scrolling!!

Samsung Tri-fold Design Protect Screen From Drop Impact:

The current activity clearly speaks to the intention of the company to outshine the darkness with the Galaxy Tri-Fold. After a setback in its foldable sale, the company needs something to keep its legacy in order. Hence, the Tri-Fold! Recently, in November, the company got a green signal after the latest patent approval of its tri-fold. So we can expect it soon, in 2025!

Now, in Saminsider, we have already shared the leak that Samsung plans to use an “open” and “layer” system to protect its folding screen. But the latest report states a beautiful solution by folding the device twice in an inward direction. The triple-fold device, like Huawei, folds in a Z manner; one screen folds outwards, and another folds inwards. Now, the screen around the edge of the hinge stays unprotected from a drop.

Fine! But then this gets more confusing: how Samsung is planning to fit the outer screen. If they are adding another display screen outside, then how will they solve another piece of the puzzle, i.e., thickness?

It will be interesting to see how the K giant manages the thickness with all the protective layers for double folding and the anti-reflective layer rumored earlier. Perhaps the inward idea can somehow be useful for the company to drop some protective layer.

Samsung Tri Fold is not the only trending lineup in the row; the recent Special Edition launched in China and Korea is also getting attraction. Galaxy Z Fold SE was mostly praised for its zero creases and slimness this time. However, the company drops the S pen in order to make it slim. And most probably, the drop for the trifold is also possible to make it slim.

Now, it’s not clear if the device is going to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, we can expect that in the upcoming year, 2025, Samsung will surprise fans with its foldable smartphone portfolio.
