Galaxy Watch 8 has recently been spotted with the latest test firmware information. This is the first time Samsung’s 8th edition of the Galaxy Watch has been spotted online. Since the second quarter of 2025 is near, the company seems to be ready for its next edition. The Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Ultra variant were launched in the same time frame last year in July.
The recent test firmware information was shared by an X user, @Theordysm. In the tweet, the user shared the screenshot of the Bluetooth and LTE variant model’s test firmware versions. Notably, it was hinted in the firmware leak that the LTE model is USA-specific.
The company rolled out the Galaxy Watch 7 last year with the 40mm & 44mm dial size. In a similar way, the firmware leak mentioned Galaxy Watch 8 might come with the SM-L320/L330 models with Bluetooth/WiFi and LTE support.
However, the recent firmware leak also hinted at the Watch 8 series model SM-L500 (“GW8C”). If the report is confirmed, the classic variant will be back on the market, unlike the 7th series. Moreover, the device will also support LTE.
No surprises here, we know they’re coming, Samsung’s prepping for them
Here are the latest test firmware info

There is not much that can be revealed from the firmware version except for the model numbers. However, the 8th edition is expected at least to have One UI 6.1 with Wear OS 5.1 built-in. Since the Galaxy wearables got the AI inclusion last year, this trend will be reflected in the upcoming model too. For better health tracking and features, AI inclusion is a necessity.
Overall, take this piece of information with a pinch of salt; although it gives the idea that the Galaxy Watch 8 is in the pipeline. Any latest news regarding this will be covered; stay tuned!
