Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Launch Reportedly Set for January 22

Samsung will reportedly host an Unpacked event on January 22, 2025, to unveil itsย  Galaxy S25 series, as suggested by unofficial yet trusted sources.

Confused with the recent rumors that the date was estimated in early January 2025? Previously, based on a Vietnamese retailer survey report, pre-orders of the next variant of the S series were reported as January 5th, and the parallel idea behind this was that the launch of the S25 series would be on the same date.

But recent Korean media reports suggest otherwise. As per the report, Samsung is choosing San Francisco as the hosting place to unveil the AI-powered S25 family to a highly enthusiastic audience in the USA. The date is expected to be January 23rd, 2025, in South Korea.

A well-known tipster, Max Jambor, on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), says itโ€™s January 22. This could just be a time zone thing, where January 22 in the US would be January 23 in South Korea. So technically, both dates could be correct depending on where in the world youโ€™re following the event.

The report also informed the surprising entry of the additional “Slim” variant of Galaxy S25. The development of the Galaxy S25 Slim has nearly come to an end, and there is the possibility of appearing at the unpacked event of the S25 trio family, as informed by the Korean media. Hopefully, the previous rumors might be true that Slim will not be released alongside the trio series.

If this is true, then Samsung is punctually following a similar time frame as its predecessor. The Galaxy S25 lineup is the most awaited variant from Samsung, and it intense the waits after the recent boost with Snapdragon 8 Elite. The great news is its vanilla variant, as well as the plus variant, also uses the same chipset globally.

Apart from that, the rumored Galaxy S25 slim variant is still finding the answer to the chipset. Aligning the recent rumors, it is likely to get the S24 SoC set up to fill the cost gap. Interestingly, its slimness also caused it toย struggleย to beat the competitor after the failed attempt to use new substrate battery material.
