Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge teaser surprised fans at the official Galaxy Event in January 2025. The device was expected to be roughly 6 mm thin. Since then, the device has been in the news, and leaks are buzzing around. The company added the new slim iteration to its flagship S series to compete with the upcoming rival iPhone 17 Air.
Today’s leak, however, intense the thinnest flagship phone competition between the rivals. The information regarding the “Edge” thickness was tipped by tipster @Onleaks (via SmartPrix) and the confirmed specs by the tipster @PandaFlashPro. Since this is not an official revelation, the devices are currently in the development stage; therefore, the specs can differ from the original launch.
Firstly, the leak states the S25 Edge will be just 5.84 mm thin, compromising the real telephoto camera lens. Earlier, we already covered the leaked specs comparison between the Galaxy S25 Edge & iPhone 17 Air. There, we mentioned the Samsung rival is likely to keep its thickness between 5 and 6 mm. Hence the recent leak makes sense for the K giant to bring down its Edge thickness as close as possible to its rival.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Edge specs, if the leak is to be believed, comprise of:
- Main Camera of 200MP with the front-facing 12MP,
- Display Bezel of 1.32 mm protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It will have the Pro Scaler Support along with Armor Aluminum Frame.
- Interestingly, it will also have an Under Display Fingerprint (Ultra-Sonic).
- With a 120Hz refresh rate, the display says to have 2600 nits of peak brightness.
- It is confirmed to have the 12GB RAM
- Even though the thin design will support a dual speaker system like the S25.
- Other features are 25W charging speed, Bluetooth 5.4, UFS 4.0/USB C 3.2, 5G connectivity, etc
The tipster, however, shared-nothing regarding the SoC setup and battery capacity. Earlier leaks suggest the device was spotted in CCC certification to have a 3900mAh battery capacity.
With all these features, the device is expected to launch in April this year. It’s, however, your choice whether you want to stick with the regular S25 or wait for the thinnest Galaxy S25 Edge.
