Samsung fans waiting for the new Galaxy S24 FE might need to get ready to pay more. The latest reports say that the next “Fan Edition” phone could cost more than expected.
As per the WinFuture, the price might jump by โฌ100 in Europe, starting at โฌ799. That probably means a similar $100 jump in the US, bringing the cost to around $699. The earlier Galaxy S23 FE launched at $599.
Even though the price increases, the base model still gives 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. No extra storage or memory here for the higher cost.
However, rumors say Samsung might be offering some upgrades behind the scenes, which might explain why the price is increasing.
Whatโs New with the Galaxy S24 FE?
A big improvement could be made to the display. The S24 FE might get a 6.7-inch screen, which is much bigger than the 6.4-inch found on the S23 FE.
Is a bigger screen better for you? This phone would be the largest in the “Fan Edition” lineup and very close to the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra screen size.
A stronger processor may be another key change. Depending on the region, the Galaxy S24 FE could feature either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 chip.
Both are the same high-performance chips in Samsungโs top Galaxy S24 phones, so expect a faster device compared to last yearโs S23 FE, which used an older processor.
Though these processors are powerful, some reports hint that the versions used in the S24 FE might not be as fast as those in the regular S24 models.
The Exynos chip in European versions could run a bit slower, and the US Snapdragon chip might also get a slightly lower clock speed.
No Major Camera Changes
Did you hope for a better camera? The Galaxy S24 FE might stick with the same camera setup as the S23 FE. While this isnโt a major letdown, don’t expect any exciting new camera features in this model.
Is the Higher Price Justified?
More screen size and improved performance suggest the Galaxy S24 FE could be a solid step up from last year’s version.
But does the higher price feel fair to you? That likely depends on how important those improvements are to you personally.
If you wanted a more budget-friendly phone, the increased price might be frustrating, though the upgrades might still make it worth purchasing for many people.
The official release date is still unknown, but with all these leaks circulating, it’s possible Samsung might announce the Galaxy S24 FE next month. Stay tuned for more updates!
