Samsung Galaxy A56 to Support 45W Fast Charging, CCC Listing Reveals

The upcoming Galaxy A56 is getting all the attention for its updated selfie camera, but the recent update will win more hearts. The K Giant has finally listened to its A series fanbase to upgrade its fast charging capacity. Ahead of its launch, the device is spotted in the “CCC” database. For your information, “CCC” is short for China Compulsory Certificate.

The certification data is revealed by tipster @Jukanlosreve on the X platform. The certification data was issued on 18th Nov 24 for the model SM-A5660, i.e., the Chinese variant of Galaxy A56. Furthermore, the certification holds the information of minimum to maximum wattage capacity, i.e., 15 W (9.0VDC, 1.67A) to 45 W (10.0VDC, 4.5A). Hopefully, Samsung will bring the 45W compatibility to its upcoming mid-range devices, too.

CCC Listing

Bit by bit, the information keeps disclosing online. A couple of weeks ago, in October, the camera specification of Galaxy A56 surfaced on the internet. Keeping the rear camera setup as usual, this time, the front camera will be getting upgraded. Rumors suggest A56 is likely to get a 12MP selfie camera similar to the Galaxy S24 base variant.

Last month, the Galaxy A56 was spotted in the Geekbench testing platform with Exynos 1580 Soc setup. The device runs on Android 15 and secured a decent score of 1353 in single-core and 3532 in Multicore, having a 1+3+4 CPU core configuration. From a design point of view, it will look similar to its predecessor, the A55.

Overall, the recent CCC indicates Samsung is likely to launch Galaxy A56 in the previous timeline, i.e., March 2025. However, US users kept away from the Galaxy A series this year. How it will be in the next launch is still unclear. But the latest development makes the device pretty decent to launch at US standards.
