First Look: Samsung Galaxy A26 Design Revealed Through CAD Renders

Samsung’s Galaxy A series devices are quite popular around the world. They offer decent specifications on a budget, with good software, which appeals to the masses.

Now, we have the leaked CAD renders of Samsung’s upcoming budget offering, the Galaxy A26.

Leaked Renders Show Design Changes on the Galaxy A26

Android Headlines, a popular news outlet, gave us the first look at the Galaxy A26 today. The device brings some new design elements compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A25.

The key changes that we can see are in the camera module and the side frames. The camera module is now a single bump, in contrast to the three separate cutouts we had on the Galaxy A25.

The power and volume buttons are mounted onto the Key Island on the right. The Key Island is basically a small bump, slightly raised from the rest of the side frame.

Both of these new elements โ€” the Key Island and the singular camera module โ€” were also seen on the Galaxy A36 renders, which were leaked a few weeks ago.

Other than that, the phone seems to have a pretty standard design with a flat-screen, flat sides, and a waterdrop notch. The bezels also look moderately thin, except for the bottom one, which is quite thicker than the rest.

Dimensions of the Galaxy A26

Android Headlines claims that the Galaxy A26 measures 164 x 77.5 x 7.7mm. The last measurement is 9.7mm, including the camera module, and the middle one is 77.9mm, including the Key Island. For comparison, the Galaxy A25 measured 161 x 76.5 x 8.3mm.

This means that the Galaxy A26 is going to have a taller and wider but slimmer body than its predecessor. The screen size is apparently going to be bigger as well, as per the same source.

To be specific, it is going to measure 6.64 inches, as compared to the 6.5-inch panel on the Galaxy A25. Do note that these numbers are rough ideas based on the renders. The actual numbers might vary slightly.

The only other thing we know about the Galaxy A26 is that it will feature the Exynos 1280 chip, thanks to the Geekbench scores that came out a few weeks ago.

As for the launch date, Samsung launched the Galaxy A25 in December last year. We can expect the same for the Galaxy A26 this year. The pricing is also likely going to be very similar โ€” somewhere around the $300 range.
