Samsung released the new Galaxy Buds 3 series in August alongside the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, which brought a new radical redesign and improved audio quality.
However, the new redesign’s issues are something that is yet to be completely rectified, with users having reported issues with breaking silicone tips in the past, alongside uneven brightness issues of the Blade Lights and charging issues with blinking lights.
Many users have recently reported seeing the “Earbuds stopped charging” message on their phones and the LED light of the Buds blinking red, hinting at possibly a charging issue.
Fortunately, a Samsung Community moderator has acknowledged the issue and provided a few ways to fix the earbuds.
For users facing the “Earbuds Charging Stopped” notification, the steps are as follows:
- In case of a low battery in the charging case, make sure that the case has enough battery to be able to charge the earbuds.
- If this condition is satisfied and the earbuds are still not charging, check for any dirt, moisture, or sweat on the charging pins of the earbuds and inside the case. Clean them if necessary.
Afterward, the earbuds should charge perfectly fine within the charging case, and the notification on the phone should go away. However, if the earbuds are still not charging after these two steps, it could indicate issues with the earbuds or the case, and affected users should visit the nearest Samsung repair center.
A blinking red indicator on the charging case of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro indicates moisture and dirt on the charging points, so users should clean the charging case regularly using a soft, lint-free, or dry cloth. Ensure that there is no moisture inside the case for effective charging.
Here are a few charging tips and precautions to keep in mind while charging your earbuds:
- Charging the earbuds via a USB-A or USB-C connection to a laptop or PC takes longer to charge due to the lower wattage.
- The earbuds and charging case get hot while charging, which is a completely normal phenomenon. However, this may lead to slower charging or even stoppage of the earbuds until they cool down.
- Do not charge your charging case with wet cables or bent or damaged ones. These may damage your earbuds’ battery.
If the charging problems of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro persist even after following all the steps and precautions detailed above, users should contact customer service and visit a repair center for further resolution.
