As the Galaxy S25 series rolls out with the stable One UI 7, fans have expected the rollout sequentially made for S24. However, fans are disappointed after the news of the One UI 7 4th beta release for the Galaxy S24. This delay was initially expected to postpone the One UI 8 release. But the recent information says it will be released sooner than the initial assumption.
The information came from a reliable tipster, @IceUniverse, who shared that the One UI 8 would arrive sooner than expected. Although the tipster didn’t specify an exact date of release. Generally, Samsung took a quarter delay after the Android stable launch. Therefore, we can expect One UI 8 to be released with a 4-month delay after Google’s Android 16 stable variant launched.
I have initial information that One UI 8 will arrive sooner than previously thought.

The road map for Google’s stable Android 16 variant is expected in the second quarter of 2025. Therefore, we can speculate Samsung would probably bring the One UI 8 around the third quarter.
However, it must be noted that the beta update of One UI 7 does not impact the launch of One UI 8 for the upcoming device and Galaxy S25 lineup. Samsung already focuses on AI-oriented features in their latest One UI 7 skin. There is no issue inherent in those features in One UI 8.
The upcoming devices, like the S25 Edge, Fold 7/Flip 7, etc., including the recent S25 series, would be the first to have the UI 8 on the row. But this update might roll out for later devices in a sluggish manner, as One UI 7. The beta update for One UI 7 might go for the 6th variant, as the recent report suggests; hopefully it would not impact the roadmap One UI 8 plan.
