One UI 7 released in the US for Z Flip 6, Fold 6, and S24 series

Earlier this week, Samsung started the rollout of its long-awaited stable One UI 7 in South Korea and China. The company has now pushed the update in the US for its 2024 flagship devices: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. These are the first batch of devices to get the update. Owners of these devices in the US can download the update by heading over to the Software update section.

There was a three-day delay until the update came to the USA. On 7th April, the phones in South Korea got the update.

One UI 7 has a lot of new features. There’s a UI redesign, better first-party apps, new AI features, much smoother animations and transitions, and more.

Samsung is prioritizing the 2024 flagship models first, so other devices will get the update later. The 2023 flagships might also get the update sometime in April. The oldest devices and a few midrange models will get the One UI 7 update at the end, in June 2025.

If you’re in the Beta program, Samsung will display a message thanking you for your participation in the program. All beta users must update to the stable version to ensure a better device experience.

The One UI 7 update is around 400-500MB if you were in the One UI 7 Beta program. If you’re downloading it from One UI 6.1, the update size is around 5GB. The One UI 7 update brings the latest April security patch to the S24 series as well. Once Samsung makes the update firmware update, you can also manually flash One UI 7. However, this requires a bit of technical know-how, and the files are not available at the time of writing.

Note: Sources report that the update is available for factory-unlocked models at the moment. Verizon and T-Mobile variants will get it soon.
