Samsung is ready to roll out One UI 7 beta next week. Before the rollout, Samsung revealed some details about the Camera app.
Starting One UI 7 Samsung will convert AR Doodle, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure into standalone apps. Right now, you can access these tools through the Camera appโs AR Zone section on One UI 6.1.1 or older version. But with the new update, these AR tools will be separate, so youโll be able to open each as a separate app without having to go into the Camera app.
In fact, Samsung announced this through a pop-up notice that appeared in the AR Doodle, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure sections of the app. It notifies users that these tools will be moving out and into their own apps.
In addition, Samsung announced that it would rename its AR Emoji feature, and now it will be called Galaxy Avatar.
You will be able to download AR Doodle, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure from the Galaxy Store once One UI 7 is out.
By moving these apps out of the Camera app, Samsung can make it easier for users to open just the feature they want, whether for a quick AR doodle or to create a custom Galaxy Avatar.
Samsung has also apologized in advance if this transition is inconvenient for any users, saying itโs a big change. They know some users will be excited, but others will need time to adjust to this new layout.
For now, wait for the full One UI 7 release.
