Samsung’s next iteration of the user interface, One UI 7, is being tested on the latest midrange variant, Galaxy A55. Tipster @Tarun Vats recently tweeted about the new test build that was spotted online. From his tweet, it is clear that the spotted build version A556BXXU4BXGA/ A556BOXM4BXGA/ A556BXXU4BXG1 is for the European variant of A55.
Previously, the One UI 7 test build was spotted first for the European variant of the Galaxy S24 lineup. The company was expected to follow a similar timeframe to start the beta program in August.
However, recent news suggests a delay in the One UI 7 beta program release window. The company is rumored to releaseย One UI 6.1.1 for its S24 series before the major One UI 7 update.
The early update spotted for midrange devices could mean the company is working to improve its skin for the latest generation. One UI 7 is expected to be released for most of the flagship series S23, S22, and S21, along with their FE (Fan Edition) variants. Meanwhile, the foldable models Z Fold 6/ 5/ 4/ 3 and Z Flip 6/ 5 /4 /3 are likely to be on the list.
Apart from the A55, some of the Galaxy A series devices like the A55, A54, A73, A53, A35, A34, and A33 are also expected to receive the update.
