One UI 7: Certain AI features may not come to Galaxy S24 series

One UI 7 brought a bold new design and new personalization features. It was released with the Galaxy S25 series, and since its debut, Samsung fans have been wondering if certain features may remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series.

Features that are coming to older models, like the S24 series, include the following:

  1. Writing Assist
  2. Audio assist
  3. Convert call recordings to text (Transcription)
  4. Summarize: Create and listen to a summary of a webpage
  5. Sketch to text

These were spotted in the official beta builds of the S24 running One UI 7.

The following features are limited to the S25 series:

  1. Now brief
  2. Advanced routine
  3. AI Gallery Search

Now brief: A feature that provides users with personalized daily briefings throughout the day. One in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The Now Brief cards cycle routinely throughout the day, showing information about sleep patterns, weather, etc.

Advanced Routine: This allows you to customize routines more effortlessly, and you get more granular control than using regular Bixby Routines.

Gallery Search: It allows users to quickly find specific photos within their photo gallery using keywords, data, or even voice commands.

This brings an end to months of speculation and worry among Samsung fans about the AI features that may or may not come to their devices. We are still waiting on the details on whether more features may be limited for the S23 series and the S22 series. Hopefully, we get those details soon. For now, it’s confirmed that Samsung will not release Now Brief for older models.
