Back in August Samsung fans were hoping to see the One UI 7 beta based on Android 15. Despite the hype, Samsung kept quiet and updates never came.
Now a recent leak from tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter) suggests Samsung might finally be rolling out the long-awaited One UI 7 beta.
According to Ice Universe, Samsung will be launching the beta after November 17 but only in two markets: South Korea and the US. Initially, it looks like only Galaxy S24 and recent Z-series users will be able to try out the new features. For other Samsung devices, the timeline is unclear.
I predict that next week, after November 17th, One UI 7 Beta will start.
The first countries include South Korea and the United States.โ ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) November 11, 2024
An earlier report suggested Samsung might announce the beta at the SDC24 Korea event on November 21 so we might hear more soon.
This wonโt be the final version. Samsung has mentioned a stable release for One UI 7, but only early next year, probably around the time of the Galaxy S25 launch in January 2025.
After the Galaxy S25 release, Samsung will roll out One UI 7 to other recent Galaxy devices.
Samsung might limit access to developers first. So even if youโre in the US or South Korea it might take some time for the beta to roll out to all eligible users.
Meanwhile other regions like India, China, and Europe are left wondering when theyโll get it, though some speculate December.
