The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 are scheduled to come out very soon. We might see the launch as early as February 2024 since the Galaxy Unpacked event for the S24 series took place a month earlier than usual. However, there’s also a chance that Samsung could launch these phones in March.
The Galaxy A55 has incremental spec bumps, and the new Exynos 1480 SOC might have a custom Nvidia GPU. This still doesn’t fix the problem with relatively weak performance, but it’s a good upgrade from the Exynos 1380. We can compare the Exynos 1480 to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 from estimation and benchmarks.
This phone had many leaks and renders, but the official cases have now been leaked. First, there’s the smart view wallet case, a flip-cover style case where you can close the screen and only keep a portion of it at the top right open for your Always-On Display & Notifications.
They come in three color choices: Pink, White, and Black. We also have Silicone cases for these phones besides the Smart View cases. The options are Black, Blue, and Lime. The Blue is rather light here, and it’s extremely light and subtle, and it’s easy to mistake for White. These Silicone cases & Smart View cases are very popular.
Samsung also offers semi-transparent and transparent cases for their phones. We see the same for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. The transparent one is prone to yellowing, while the semi-transparent one isn’t as much. It’s a design preference between these two. The semi-transparent one gives your phone’s back a moodier look.
Finally, there’s a new option called the Standing Grip case. It’s normally only for the flagship S series and the foldable Z Flip and Z Fold series. However, we might see this case for the Galaxy A55. This is the first time for a Galaxy A series phone. The case has a rubber extension/ cord, which you can use to prop it up or hold it.
