One UI 7 introduced an all-new interface for Samsung, with better animations and redesigned aesthetics. For the S25 series, it also introduced the Now Bar and other Galaxy AI features. It features a simple, impactful, and emotive design, which brings a more cohesive experience to Samsung users.
To bring this new experience to everyone, Samsung is using a phased rollout. Certain phones, like the Galaxy S series, will get the update earlier than others to ensure a smooth and snappy experience for Galaxy users. Some users may even get the update before other users on the same phone model.
According to sources, most countries in Europe have started receiving the update. However, countries like India are still waiting, and the tentative window of release is April 10-18.
According to a Samsung community moderator, the rollout of One UI 7 will start on April 7th. This is true, and regions like Korea have already received the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series.
It is important to know this is a phased rollout. The rollout will start with Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, starting on April 10th. It will gradually expand to more carriers and partners.
Users are understandably frustrated since the One UI 7 update was already over 6 months late, and Samsung is using a phased, region-wise rollout on top of that. However, the wait will end soon, and many users will get the update this month. Unfortunately, the older devices will get the update between May and June 2025. On the bright side, Samsung might apparently release One UI 8 much sooner.
