Leak reveals details on Galaxy S25 Edge dual camera setup

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was teased at the recent Galaxy Unpacked event. One thing stands out: apart from the allegedly very slim 6.4mm or under form factor, it has only two cameras on the rear.

The design language is completely different to the usual S lineup, however, and it has a flat-screen.

Since it has only two cameras on the rear, we can assume the camera system as a whole is a downgrade from the S25 and S25 Plus. Earlier, there were leaks of a triple camera setup with the JN5 3.5X lens as a folded periscope camera. However, since there are only two cameras here, we can safely assume there is no zoom at all.

As per a post from PandaFlash on X, the earlier leaks were true about the primary camera. As per this leak, it will feature a 200MP main sensor. This is mostly the same main sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra- a modified version of the HP2 sensor.

Since it’s a 200MP sensor with a rather large 1/1.3″ sensor size, it can offer more than usable photos up to 2X using sensor crop mechanisms that will offer zoom. However, beyond this will not look that good since there’s no real telephoto lens.

Samsung has a 50MP ultrawide camera- a 1/2.3″ JN3 sensor for the S25 Ultra. However, the leak suggests that the Slim version will stick with the old 12MP 1/2.55″ sensor.

Other leaks point to a 3900 mAh battery with 25W charging. If you recall, this is the same combination as the S23, which offers more than good battery life for light usage. With more efficient and recent chipsets, the battery will be better.
