Home Up’s Task Changer Touch or Gesture Issue Fix is Coming Soon

Samsung Good Lock’s Home Up module is one of the beloved and most popular modules recently updated to match the One UI 6.0 stable version. The bug issues are common in the early phases of any update. This is why the company has to makeover its Good Lock Modules to keep up with the latest firmware updates. Recently, a tipster @theonecid shared that Samsung will soon bring a fix for the unresponsive touch or gestures issue in their upcoming update.

The Home Up module has a Task Changer option to customize the layout style of opening the recently used app. There is a handy option in Task Changer, which is Gesture settings. You can assign various tasks for swiping gestures in the Home Up module. For instance, you can Swipe and directly open Samsung Pay on the lock screen, home screen, or even if the screen is off. Another good use is while playing a game or watching a video; you can swipe to come directly to the home screen. But recently, after the One UI 6.0 Update, the swipe gesture became unresponsive.

As the tipster shared information, the support team replied in the Samsung community forum and confirmed the gesture error. The support team also promised to provide the fix in the next software update. Regarding the availability of the fix, there is no definite timeframe or updated version mentioned by the moderator.

Earlier, the Home Up module was not supported in the One UI 6 Beta version. Soon after the stable rollout of the One UI 6, module version v15.0.00.7 partially supported the Home Up. There are features which do not support, and some of them got deleted. For instance, the layout type stack, vertical list, and slim list were not supported, but they were included in the recent update. Moreover, options like Folder title suggestion and task changer Pay gesture were deleted altogether.

The latestย  Home Up version is 15.0.00.11, with an updated size of 14.79 MB. This latest update has fixed the issue where settings were reset when deleting an app. Whereas it also added the unsupported layouts for Task Changer. Note that the issues are only fixed when the latest One UI Home (15.0.05.5 or later) is installed.

However, the module still lags behind the Touch screen gesture support. Many Good Lock Modules bug issues were reported recently and promised to be fixed in the upcoming software updates. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next One UI 6.1 Update. Stay tuned with Saminsider for the latest news!
