Samsung recently rolled out the March security update for the Galaxy S23 series, and it brought issues with it. Some users raised concerns in the community forum regarding the green/pink lines that appeared on their screens after the update. Notably, there is no information on whether the company has acknowledged the issue.
The single or multiple green/pink line issue was not new to the Galaxy S series; it had been experienced earlier. Mostly these lines occur after the security update. Reportedly, the security update affected the Galaxy S22 and S21 series last year. It looks like a common problem repeating on the older version of the S series.
However, Samsung has compensated last year by offering a free one-time screen replacement for such an issue. The replacement program was for the selected Galaxy models in selected countries. But there is no such announcement this time so far from the company.
Galaxy S23 Users, Beware! ๐จ
After latest March update, some users are seeing green/pink lines appearing on their screens.
Looks like a patternโthe S22 had this issue last year, and S21 the year before. Now it’s S23’s turn?
Samsung, what is going on? This is disappointing. pic.twitter.com/kBjlZ0EF6H

Is there any solution or troubleshooting method to get rid of the issue? Well, most of the time, this issue indicates multiple dead pixels, which requires screen replacement. But you could check whether the update permanently damaged your screen, or a simple reset could solve the issue. You can simply dial *#0*#ย to access the color panels on Samsung devices. Now check if the line occurs in those color panels; if it does, you need to visit the service center.
Overall, it’s frustrating to face such an issue after an update for a flagship Galaxy S23 series. And interestingly, it has become a common issue every year. For now, the best option is to hold the March updates and wait for the next update if you are a S23 user. Any update regarding the issue will be covered soon; stay tuned.
