Galaxy Z Flip FE Could Launch in 2025 as an Affordable Foldable Option

A new Samsung clamshell foldable has been in the talks for the better part of this quarter of 2024. Up until now, it has been unclear whether this foldable would be an affordable offering or something like a special edition.

Now, most industry experts are inclined towards the former. This makes sense since Samsung generally uses the “FE” or Fan Edition tag for stripped-down versions of their flagships.

Galaxy Z Flip FE Arriving in 2025, Some Details Out

Industry analyst Ross Young took to X (formerly Twitter) yesterday to share some exciting news about the Galaxy Z Flip FE. He claims that the foldable is finally coming in 2025. This aligns with previous reports of Samsung planning to expand its foldable smartphone portfolio next year.

In a reply to a comment, Ross Young also states that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will likely feature the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The processor and the cameras could be where Samsung cuts some costs.

As per earlier reports, this weaker processor could be the Exynos 2400. The costlier Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with the Exynos 2500 chip. As for other aspects of the Galaxy Z Flip FE, nothing much can be said yet. We can expect more details to come out as we approach the time window of its launch.
