Galaxy Watch 6 Gets the Stable One UI 6 Watch Update with Wear OS 5

Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 6 back in August last year. At the time of launch, it came with One UI Watch 5 and Wear OS 4 out of the box.

Since then, it has received multiple beta updates for the One UI Watch 6, which is going to be based on Wear OS 5. And after a fairly long wait, the stable firmware is finally here.

How to Install One UI 6 Watch?

Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone and head into the Watch settings under your Galaxy Watch. Then, tap on the Watch software update option to download and install the One UI 6 Watch update.

The build number of this firmware update ends with BXJ5, in case you need to cross-check. The update is about 140 MB in size.

One thing worth mentioning here is that the update is currently live only in the US. It will be rolled out to other regions gradually.

What’s New?

With this update, Samsung promises to provide an enhanced user experience. Better health tracking capabilities, improved navigation, and more customization are some of the key changes this update brings.

Note for Beta Users

In the release notes of the update, Samsung has made it clear that they will be shutting down all functions related to beta testing of the One UI 6 Watch firmware.

There will be no beta updates for the Watch firmware in the future. Any feedback related to beta firmware will not be officially entertained by Samsung as well.

Besides that, beta testers will also lose access to all the reviews and suggestions made during the beta testing phase.

So, we advise this group of people to install the latest stable version as soon as possible to avoid running into problems.
