After One UI 6.1.1, there are many devices with severe bugs on the Samsung Messages app. Searching for a specific message is very important.
It helps with finding important keywords in messages like dates, days, and names. Unfortunately, this feature is not working as intended on One UI 6.1.1.
If you search for a message and then select that message, it’s not going to the proper location. Instead, it goes elsewhere, which isn’t relevant to the search.
As per some reports, the issue is caused by Samsung’s own malicious messages filter feature. The new feature that came with One UI 6.1.1 blocks malicious messages. Unfortunately, searching for a message directly does not go to the correct location, which is a major annoyance.
Samsung is aware of the issue. They’ve officially acknowledged it, and they’re actively working on a fix. Soon, they will issue an update to the Samsung Messages app that will fix all these issues users are facing.
You can try turning off the malicious messages blocking feature to see if that helps. As per community moderators, the issue is caused by that feature.
- Open the Samsung Messages app on your phone.
- Tap the three dots menu at the top right.
- Choose the Settings option.
- You will see an option that says, “Manage spam and blocked numbers.”
- Now, turn malicious message blocking off.
Meanwhile, we advise Samsung users to constantly check for updates to the Samsung Messages app to see whether the issue has been patched.
