Soon after the successful launch event of the Galaxy S25 series, the company is ready to move on to its next ultra device. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the next flagship device in Samsung’s high-end device roadmap plan.
Leaks and rumors have already started emerging from tipsters. And today, tipster @kro_roe, who accurately revealed a lot of information last year, has shared interesting news about the next-gen Galaxy S26 Ultra.ย
In his recent tweet, the tipster says that the Galaxy S26 Ultra display prototype features an Under Display Camera (in short, UDC). It has an invisible camera hole on the front. The tipster has not shared any images to prove its leak.

Samsung has been using UDC for its foldable device for years but has not implemented it on its flagship S series. Therefore, if the leak is true, then it will be the first time the K giant will be using UDC on its Ultra device.
The issue with the Under Display Camera is the user experience and the image quality. From the Z fold perspective, the UDC implemented has not been able to click the good-quality images. However,ย reports suggest Samsung has been working on the UDC and patented an optical sensor for its UDC.
The patent described an innovative process to resolve the quality issue of the UDC. In simple words, Samsung’s patent describes a process of using an IC driver to adjust the screen pixels of the camera area based on light and color levels.
This would be achieved either by powering off the pixels in the camera area or displaying the output image over the camera to minimize the visual impact of the camera area. Here is an image from the patent showing the immersive view of the UDC.
Overall, this UDC tech breakthrough could give an immersive view hiding the punch-hole camera. The patent was for UDC of foldable, rollable or slideable, but now, it seems the South Korean giant is planning to implement the patent idea on its next-gen S26 Ultra. We will provide updates as they become available; stay connected with us.
