The Galaxy S25 series is on its way, but will all regions get the same chipset?
For the past few years, Samsungโs Galaxy S series has had different chips depending on the region.
Some users were not happy, especially those in Europe and other regions where the Exynos versions were supposed to be less efficient than the Snapdragon ones.
But it seems Samsung is finally bidding goodbye to the Exynos chip for the Galaxy S25 and this is good news for everyone.
A trusted tipster, Ice Universe on X, claims all Galaxy S25 models will have Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset globally.
I reiterate that all versions of the Galaxy S25 series in the world adopt Snapdragon 8 Elite, and will not adopt Exynos.

This will be the third time all Galaxy S series will have Snapdragon and not Exynos. The other two instances were Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S5.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is a big jump from Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Itโs faster and more efficient with 45% CPU and 40% GPU boost. But even Qualcomm says we might not feel it in real life just by using the phone. Still, this is an upgrade so we could see a big difference if Samsung used Exynos chip in some regions.
Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely have an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This can clock up to 4.47 GHz which is a bit higher than the usual 4.32 GHz of the main core.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is also more expensive than the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 20 to 30% price increase so this means the Galaxy S25 series will be more expensive than we thought.
Weโll wait for the official launch to confirm but this is good news for those who will buy a Samsung phone next year.
