The Galaxy S25 Edge is an upcoming slim phone from Samsung. It’ll be the 4th model in the lineup, alongside the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The Edge model sits slightly above the Ultra, and the key selling point is the extremely low sub-6mm thickness. Unfortunately, as per new leaks, the release of this product has been postponed.
The Galaxy S25 Edge was originally supposed to launch around the 15th of April. According to older leaks, the phone was set to go on pre-booking on the 15th of this month. However, a post from Ice Universe on X says that the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge is no longer happening on the 15th of April. The tipster claimed to have bad news yesterday, and it was revealed today that Samsung is not releasing the S25 Edge this month.
Speaking of the new release window for the Galaxy S25 Edge, the tipster says it has been postponed to May or June 2025. Some even expected a release at Galaxy Unpacked 2025, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 7 series. People predict issues with part availability as a reason.
The phone sits above the S25 Plus but below the S25 Ultra. From what we know, it’ll feature the 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and a 200MP main camera. It’ll also likely use a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 4000mAh battery. Other specifications are presently unknown. It’ll run Samsung’s One UI 7 out of the box and feature all the Galaxy AI benefits.
While Ice Universe has a good track record with Samsung leaks, we’d still advise caution. Since there’s no official information from the brand, take this news with a pinch of salt until we hear something from Samsung.
