This month has been quite interesting for Samsung foldables. The tech giant, for the first time, launched an extra model in its iconic Galaxy Z Fold series โ the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, although only for the South Korean market.
Now, a leak suggests that there might be an extra model with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as well. This aligns with recent news of Samsung planning to expand its foldable smartphone portfolio.
However, it is not yet clear whether this new leak talks about the products that have been in the news lately or something else.
A New Codename Suggests a New Foldable
According to anonymous sources of GalaxyClub, a popular blog that deals with all things Samsung, the company is currently working on at least three foldable devices.
Two of them are the regular Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7, codenamed Q7 and B7, respectively. The other one is codenamed Q7M, but it is not yet clear what this product is.
It could be the tri-fold that is in the news, or it could be something entirely different. There is also a possibility of it being another Special Edition Galaxy Fold. There are currently no clues to point toward a particular model.
One thing is clear, though โ this model with the codename Q7M could very likely launch alongside the rest of Samsung’s foldables next year. It will surely be interesting to see the foldable smartphone space in the coming months.
