Samsung’s Camera Shift AI is a post-capture editing feature. Galaxy AI brings a lot of reasonable refinements to Samsung’s photos. We have tools that replicate the functionality of Google’s Magic Editor and Magic Eraser quite well. We also have the Photo Remaster feature from Samsung. It digitally upscales the resolution and clarity of your image with intelligent algorithms.
With the S24 Ultra, there’s support for seamlessly cropping in up to 4X to an image you have already taken and retaining excellent detail thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s ISP and Samsung’s AI algorithms. The One UI 6.1 update might add Night Mode Videos to other phones, and it’s a handy feature.
AI Camera Shift feature
Camera Shift AI is a key new AI feature in the S24 lineup. The Galaxy Enhance X app has the Camera Shift and AI Photo Colorization features. Camera Shift allows you to reposition a subject in the frame.
Sometimes, your subject is too far away, or the photo’s subject is tilted, and the resulting position ruins the overall look of the image. In case of time constraints or if the place you’re taking the photo is too small, it’s challenging to frame a shot properly.
The Camera Shift feature changes this. AI can identify the subject and the background and intelligently fill in missing details. It can also adjust the subject’s position to mimic the correct placement of your camera and even the correct subject framing. It lets you adjust the height and frame different areas of your body.
You also have options for Rotation and Tilt. It works best with full-body captures, and it’s applicable for pets and full-body captures of up to 3 people.
While changing your position after taking the photo is exclusive to the S24 lineup, it won’t remain that way long. The Enhance-X app will allegedly bring this feature to several older Samsung models, including mid-range phones and older flagships. Samsung has confirmed this officially on the community forums. The source is in Korean and includes a download link to the Enhance X app.
