Galaxy A56, A36 & A26 5G arrive with Samsung’s ‘Awesome Intelligence’

Samsung’s 2025 Galaxy A lineup is finally here which includes Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G. The company says it has integrated Awesome Intelligence with the lineup, meaning it will offer a bunch of new and improved AI features from its Galaxy AI suites.

All three models run on Samsung’s custom skin One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. The good news is that they will receive 6 years of Android OS and 6 years of security updates โ€” the predecessor lineup is eligible for only 4 years of Android upgrades.

Speaking of the AI features, it packs enhanced Circle to Search, an improved AI Select, refined Object Eraser, Custom Filters, Edit Suggestions and more. Surprisingly, the Galaxy A56 has the Best Face AI feature, which is available on the Galaxy S25. This feature comes in handy for group photos โ€” thanks to its mighty chipset, Exynos 1580.

The first noticeable thing about their design is the rear camera setup โ€” sensors are placed vertically within a pill-shaped camera bump. In their predecessor, we saw individual “triple-ring” camera module designs. Both the A56 and A36 feature a hole-punch display cutout for the front camera, while the A26 has a waterdrop-style display notch.

The A56 features a metal frame, which offers a premium feel. On the other hand, both A36 and A26 models use a plastic frame. It is worth noting that all three models feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on both the front and back.

The A56 and A36 features in-display fingerprint sensors, but the A26 uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In the chipset department, the A56 is equipped with the Exynos 1580 chipset โ€” a new 4nm processor from Samsung with an AMD Xclipse 540 GPU. The A36 and A26 are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipsets and Exynos 1380 chipsets, respectively.

When it comes to camera capabilities, all three models feature a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) on their backs. That said, there are differences in terms of ultra-wide and macro cameras. The A56 has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, while both the A36 and A26 pack an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 5MP macro camera is found on the A56 and A36, while theย A26 sports a 2-megapixel macro lens.

The front cameras of the A56 and A36 are 12-megapixel each, whereas the A26 has a 13-megapixel camera.

Regarding display, all three models feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations.

All three devices are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. The A56 and A36 models support 45W fast charging, whereas A26 supports 25W fast charging.

All three phones are coming to the US, with a starting price tag of $499 for the A56 (8GB + 128GB), $399 for the A36 (6GB + 128GB) and $299 for the A26 (6GB + 128GB). The A36 and A26 will be available for sale by the end of March, while the A56 will be released later in the year within the US.
