When will Galaxy A33, A23 & A13 get One UI 6 (Android 14)?

Most midrange Galaxy smartphones like Galaxy A33, Galaxy A23, and Galaxy A13 make entries on the list.

Update August 11:

Samsung has kicked off the One UI 6 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The beta features an early look at Samsung’s Android 14 update and is initially available in the United States, Germany, and South Korea.

Users in those countries can enroll in the beta through the Samsung Members app. The beta introduces UI changes like a redesigned Quick Settings panel and a new camera widget for choosing storage locations. Samsung also mentions new wallpaper customization for Modes and Routines, allowing different wallpapers per mode.

The One UI 6 beta marks an early preview of Samsung’s work on Android 14. It allows users to test-drive new features and provide feedback before the official release.

Galaxy A33, A23 & A13 One UI 6 Update Timeline:

Samsung’s Galaxy A series lineup Galaxy A33, Galaxy A23, and Galaxy A13 4G, made an entry into the mobile industry in March 2022. Later the 5G connectivity version was launched for the trio series. However, the timeline of launches for these phones is different.

Galaxy A23, A33, and A13 have a big screen of 6.6 inches, 6.4 inches, and 6.5 inches, respectively. However, in terms of resolution, Galaxy A33 & A23 get 1080 x 2400 pixels compared to Galaxy A13 (720 x 1600 pixels).

All three models are similar, but the superior processor quality can differentiate the phone. Galaxy A23 has the Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G (6 nm), whereas A33 gets the Exynos 1280. On the other hand, Galaxy A13 comes with the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 5G (7 nm).

Regarding the software version of these phones, Galaxy A33, A23, and A13 4G come out of the box with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 skin on top. Since the phone comes under Samsung’s four years update policy, these devices will undoubtedly be updated to the upcoming One UI 6. But the question that comes to mind is when Galaxy A33, A23, and A13 will get the update.

If we look at the update history of these phones, we see that Samsung brings the earlier major update to these phones in a similar timeframe. Galaxy A33, A23, and A13 became available in the market in March 2022. And as per the updated policy at the end of 2022, these devices upgraded to Android 13-based One UI 5 interface.
