Despite 5G connectivity being introduced into the smartphone world years ago, companies have still been producing 4G phones because of how cheap they can get.
However, that will not be the case for too long, as 5G phones are getting cheaper themselves.
Samsung, for instance, is apparently planning to bring 5G connectivity to its Galaxy A0x series. This series has been 4G-based up until now.
A New Galaxy A06 Model Could Get 5G Support
The Galaxy A06 5G recently appeared in the GSMA database with model numbers SM-A066B/DS and SM-A066M/DS.
To clear any doubts, the 4G version of the Galaxy A06 already exists. And, as per Gizmochina, the specifications of the 5G model are likely going to be similar to the 4G one, with the exception of a 5G supporting processor.
However, this is just a speculation. We currently do not have enough information to confirm anything.
The only thing we can say for sure is that the A0x series will receive 5G connectivity for the first time very soon.
Other details will likely come up as we approach the release date, which is also unclear for now.
